How to dress for the opera
You can totally wear your LBD and heels! Just make sure you bring a cover up, like a blazer or a shawl, because you’ll never know if it’ll be cold! Although, you can also wear jeans if you want to; you just have to dress up. For the 2 outfits above, I’m not sure if you are a young lady or a woman, so I created two different outfits for both.
Outfit 1: This is obvious for the woman. Women just look so much more sophisticated and dressy with red on. So, with those favorite jeans of your’s, pair a dressy top with it. In this case, a cowle neck top. As I said before, wear a cover up, so a blazer will do for this outfit. To keep the dressy feel going, I chose to accessorize with black heels and a black clutch!
Outfit 2: This is for a young lady. You can pair light-wash jeans with a chiffon top. Chiffon just makes everything look better. In this case, the top was already long-sleeved so a cover up was not need. Since it’s night time I went with all black accessorizes, from the belt, to the flats to the messenger bag!
As for your escort, guys always have it easier. To be honest, he can wear jeans, loafers, a v-neck and a blazer, and call it a night. But if you’re the one choosing the clothes, then hear are my options. TIP: Just make sure neither one of you is dressed up more than the other. If you wear jeans, let him wear a plaid dress shirt and khakis. In other words, match a little. Don’t let one overpower the other. Even though, you should be the prettiest one x)
I hope this helped!
